York River Symphony Orchestra presents "Postcards from France" | Arts & Culture

The York River Symphony Orchestra will present “Postcards from France” at Thomas Nelson Community College on Sunday, October 9, at 3 p.m. in the Dr. Mary T. Christian Auditorium, Hampton campus.
Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance, $8 for students, seniors, and military, and $12 at the door, $10 for student, seniors, and military. Please call Pro Music and Sound for more information about tickets at (757) 867-7115.
The performance will be conducted by Dr. Eric Reiff, and the student musicians will play selections from Offenbach's Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld, Lowden's Les Misérables, Faure's Pelléas et Mélisandeand, and other classics.
The York River Symphony was founded in 1984, and provides young, emerging Hampton Roads students a keen opportunity to play a variety of musical selections at the collegiate level.
