Yorktown Missing Python has Neighbors Worried
A ten foot python is still missing in Yorktown and a tall brush filled field has the neighbors worried.
The Neighbors in the surrounding area have told channel 3 that they are taking the necessary precautions. Kayla Wallace, a neighbor whose yard touches the tall brush says “I have a 15th month old that loves to be outside but I have to keep her inside because we don’t know where the snake is”.
Behind the trailer park of where the snake could have escaped from is a tall field that extends into many of the backyards of neighboring houses. The field is filled with very thick brush that the snake could be living in and the community would never know it.
Pythons feed on small animals like squirrels and rabbits, which is the type of animals Kayla says, she sees all the time in her backyard.
If you have seen the snake or have any information on where the snake is please call Animal Control at 757-890-3621.
